The year is 2035 and robots are an everyday commodity. When Dr. Alfred Lanning (James Cromwell) is killed, techno-phobic cop Del Spooner (Will Smith) investigates. The crime may have been perpetrated by a robot named Sonny (Alan Tudyk), however, clues leads to a larger threat to humanity.

Based off the title of a collection of nine shorts, “I, Robot” by author Isaac Asimov;

using elements from “Little Lost Robot”, some of the character’s names, and the Three Laws.

There is plenty of action, believeable CGI, and the story can be moving at points. The story about what happens when robots develope a mind of their own. I give this movie a 5 out of 5.

On IMDB, they show “I, Robot 2” as announced; with Will Smith reprising his role. I look forward to see where this may lead. Will it become “The Second Renassance” from 2003’s The Animatrix? A story about the start of the machine revaluation against man kind; where I, Robot left off and could lead us to believe and connect the two stories.
